I have been working really hard at reducing my stress level. I fear that part of my digestion issues could be intensified by the amount of stress that I have created in my life.
I mean really, moving from Canada to Florida without any friends or family in my new town, starting a chiropractic business and growing that business to now include 2 additional practitioners, was probably a little much for me to handle.
However, I do believe that if we do not challenge ourselves then we can not ever grow. The question is how to challenge oneself without letting the challenge create stress.

What does this have to do with this Keto Sausage Apple Cheese Dip?
Since this dip contains only a handful of ingredients, can be whipped up in minutes, can be reheated easily and is absolutely delicious, it is the perfect dish for the Holidays or when unexpected company drops by.

Keto Sausage Dip Ingredients
You only need 4 ingredients to make this keto sausage skillet recipe.
- Ground Sausage - I used mild but feel free to use spicy, or any other type of ground sausage.
- Onion - You will need half of an onion. I have made this recipe using red onion, yellow onion as well as a sweet onion and they have all tasted delicious!
- Optional - Apple - If you want to cut back on carbs, you can omit the apple. However, the apple adds a nice crunch and sweetness to the dish. You will only be using 4 oz of diced apple which adds approximately 12 grams of net carbs which only adds 1-2 grams of carbs per serving.
- Cheese - I have used Brie, cheddar as well as a combo of cheddar and blue cheese and they have all tasted AMAZING!
Keto Sausage Skillet Recipe Ingredients
This recipe only takes about 10 minutes from start to finish!
Step 1: Brown the sausage
- In a medium skillet, add ground breakfast sausage, breaking it apart as it cooks. I like to use either my own recipe but if I am in a hurry, I like to use Jennie-O turkey sausage.
- As the meat is cooking, dice a red onion and an apple
Step 2: Add the onion and apple
- Once meat has cooked, add the onion and the apple to the skillet, stirring every so often until onion has softened.
Step 3: Add the cheese
- Take about ½ cup of shredded cheese and sprinkle it over the top.
- Broil on high for 2-5 minutes or until the cheese has melted
- Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.
What to serve with this Keto Sausage Dip
Truth be told, I often just put some in a bowl and eat it just as it is! However, if you are serving this to a crowd, you can serve this dish in a variety of fashions:
- spread it on some Plant-Based Keto Seed Crackers, 3-Ingredient Dairy-Free Keto Crackers or these Almond Flax Seed Crackers
- pile the keto sausage dip on some hardy Nordic Nut and Seed Bread
- make some High Protein Crepe Recipe and stuff some of the keto sausage apple dip in the center.

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground mild sausage
- ½ onion, diced
- Optional - 4 0z diced apple, skin on
- ½-1 cup shredded cheese
Instructions
- In a medium oven safe skillet, add sausage and cook, breaking up any large pieces.
- Once meat has cooked, add onion and apple, stirring to combine. Continue to cook approximately 5 minutes or until onion has started to soften.
- Add the cheese to the skillet and place skillet under the broiler for 3-5 minutes or until cheese has started to melt and brown.
