If you don't like chocolate, then stop reading NOW! Seriously, stop this very second because these Triple Chocolate Avocado Protein Bars are chocolate dense morsels of protein deliciousness. These bars were so darn delicious that I couldn't even wait until the topping dried to take my pictures! I even brought them to my office and before I was done work, only a small bite was left!
As I have mentioned before in previous posts, I am on a mission of trying to get the world to stop buying protein bars and start making them at home.
Why am I on this quest?
Well, first off, store-bought protein bars are mostly filled with ingredients that the average human can not even pronounce. Chemicals and genetically modified ingredients make up 90% of all protein bars on the market.
Now, even though there are a few "healthy" ones out there, at over $2 a bar, your piggy bank will be empty in no time and I really don't want you to go broke. Being broke is not fun...trust me, I was there when I was in college. We actually use to save tea bags to be reused just to save a few bucks!
Oops...got off on a tangent...back to the protein bars.
These bars are soooooooo easy to make. I did it on purpose to only weigh my ingredients instead of using measuring cups. Why do you ask? Simply because this saves having to do extra dishes.
As I have I told you all before, I love to cook but I HATE doing dishes!
How to make Triple Chocolate Avocado Protein Bars
By using a food scale, all you have to do is measure out all the ingredients, stir them together and bake them in the oven. 30 minutes later you have a protein bar with only 140 calories, 8.8 grams of healthy fats, over 5 grams of fibre and almost 10 grams of protein. As for the sugar content, each bar only has 1 gram of sugar.
BEAT THAT MANUFACTURED PROTEIN BARS!:-)

Triple Chocolate Avocado Protein Bars (Keto, Gluten-Free)
Easy as they only use 1 bowl, these decadent avocado triple chocolate protein bars are simple to make and delicious to eat. Only 1 gram of sugar and over 5 grams of fibre, these protein bars will keep you going for hours.
- Total Time: 40 minutes
- Yield: 7 bars 1x
Ingredients
- 6 oz mashed avocado (approximately 1 medium avocado)
- 5 oz liquid egg whites
- 3 oz chocolate pea protein (I use Orgain Chocolate Pea Protein Powder)
- 1 oz cocoa powder, unsweetened
- ⅓ cup sweetener (I use Pyure)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp instant coffee (optional)
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- 14 g chocolate chips (I use Lily's which are sweetened with Stevia and erythritol)
Chocolate Ganache (Optional)
- 2 oz 85% dark chocolate
- 1 tsp heavy cream
- 1 tsp coconut oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients (except chocolate chips) and beat well. Add chocolate chips and stir to incorporate. Pour mixture into loaf pan and place in the oven for 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let cool. As bars cool, prepare the chocolate ganache by placing the chocolate, oil and cream in a small microwaveable dish. Cook for 15-30 seconds or until all ingredients have melted and can be stirred together. Carefully pour ganache over protein bars and let cool.
Notes
- The nutritional information is for the ingredients I used.
- Feel free to omit the chocolate ganache...I did it simply for the sake of picture taking!
- All ingredients are listed by weight so that cleanup is a breeze since you don't have to wash any measuring cups.

Yes, weigh, don’t use cups. Also weigh liquids (100g=100ml)
But please don’t mix ounces and grams!
We would really like a recipe with both your old fashioned US weights and the new-fangled metric weights used everywhere else in the world.
Thanks

I went in for 1 and ended up eating many many more... Great taste and texture. Tastes just like a fudgy brownie.

I would describe these as fudgy brownies. There was a lot of chocolate flavor (and no avocado flavor). These were lucious!
