How adorable are these little guys! These mini taco appetizers are sure to be a big hit at your next get together.
First things first, you all know how much I love my Whoopie Pie Baking Pan. If you don't have one yet, I urge you to click on the link above and treat yourself to one. Without this pan, this recipe can still be made but will require a little more attention to detail and will be harder to create an aesthetically looking taco.
This recipe is extremely easy. First, spray your whoopie pie pan with non stick spray. If you don't have a pan, simply line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Next, place approximately 1 tablespoon of shredded cheese in each well or spread cheese in a small circle on the parchment paper.
Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake until the cheese begins to bubble.
Remove the pan from the oven and gently place a little taco meat onto the cheese, covering only half of the circle. Once slightly cool, fold the cheese over the meat filling.
Repeat with all 12 cheese circles.
Finally, plate the tacos and serve with salsa, sour cream or guacamole.
These are the perfect bite size appetizers for your next finger food gathering!

- Total Time: 15 minutes
- Yield: 12 mini tacos 1x
Ingredients
- 12 tbsp shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ lb ground turkey
- 2 tbsp Easy Taco Seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a small skillet, cook ground turkey until fully cooked. Add taco seasoning and if needed, 1 tablespoon of water. Continue to cook for 2 minutes.
- Spray whoopie pan with non-stick spray or line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Take 1 tablespoon of cheese and fill well of whoopie pan or place cheese in a circle on parchment paper.
- Repeat process until 12 circles have been formed. Place in oven for 3-5 minutes or until cheese starts to bubble. Remove from oven.
- Allow cheese to cool slighlty. Once cool, add 1 tablespoon of taco filling on half of cheese circle. Repeat for all 12.
- Carefully fold the cheese over the taco meat and allow to cool until harden.
- Serve with salsa, warm dips or sour cream.
Notes
- I like to serve these with a warm dip as the tacos themselves need to be cool in order to stay together.
