This moist Air Fryer Turkey Breast recipe could not be any easier. I was shocked at the result of cooking a turkey breast in an air fryer. In under 1 hour, a moist and tender turkey breast with crispy outer skin was ready for our delicious feast!
Easy Ninja Foodi Air Fryer Turkey
I think a lot fewer people are having large gatherings for Thanksgiving. Long gone are the days of formal dining rooms as well as china and silverware that need to be polished before being used.
Since Mr. Grumbles and I have moved far away from family, Thanksgiving often entails just the two of us. Making a huge turkey as well as a large feast is just not worth it for 2 people. Besides, both Mr. Grumbles and I prefer the lighter breast meat as compared to the dark leg meat, so it seems wasteful to cook an entire turkey.
With that in mind, last year I made a turkey breast in the crockpot. It was absolutely fabulous and came out "fall off the bone" moist and delicious. Since the turkey breast turned out so delicious, I decided to try cooking a turkey breast in my air fryer.
Curious to see if cooking a turkey breast in an air fryer would work as well as in a slow cooker, I set out to compare the two methods.
Not only was it really easy to do, but the results also looked and tasted amazing! Juicy, tender air fryer turkey breast is the perfect way to keep Thanksgiving nice and simple!
What size Turkey Breast can I use?
I ended up using a 5.5lb bone-in turkey breast. I have a Ninja Foodi All-In-One and my turkey breast just barely fit so I definitely would not get a breast much larger than 5 lbs. With that being said, if you end up using a turkey breast with the bone removed, you may be able to fit a larger size piece. The instructions are for a bone-in turkey breast so please adjust your cooking time accordingly if you are using a boneless breast.
Super Moist Air Fryer Turkey Breast
First, carefully rub olive oil over the turkey breast. Next, generously apply some salt, pepper, and rosemary all over the skin.
Place the turkey breast, skin side down in the air fryer basket and set it to 350 degrees. Let it cook for 20 minutes and then carefully turn the turkey breast over and continue to cook for another 30-40 minutes or until the internal temperature reads 165 degrees F.
It was absolutely a breeze to cook a bone-in turkey breast in the air fryer. Next time turkey breasts go on sale, pick one up and try it for yourself!
