Easy to digest carrots are pureed and combined with coconut oil, collagen, curry powder and cayenne to create a delicious way to get you feeling better in a hurry.
Just the other day I was mentioning to Mr. Grumbles how great my belly felt. For those of you who have been following my trials and tribulations with regards to my digestive issues, know that I suffer from discomfort and bloating on a daily basis. On top of the belly misery, in the past year, I have started to get rosacea on my face on account of my digestive woes.
In case you are wondering, having rosacea on your face sucks. And as my face was finally clearing up I somehow put something in my system that made my face break out worse then it has ever been.
That's where this Detox Carrot Soup comes in.
Over the past year, I have used this soup to help rid myself of belly pain as well as rosacea. Although I am getting closer to identifying some of the food culprits associated with my issues, I still have not completely nailed it. However, with the help of this soup, I can be clear-skinned and belly pain-free in under 3 days.

How to do the Carrot Soup Detox Protocol
This detox follows my Keep It Super Simple (K.I.S.S.) philosophy.
In the morning, feel free to have a cup of plain coffee or tea. Wait as long as possible before having your first carrot soup meal. If possible wait until noon as this gives the digestive system a 16 hour time frame of not having to digest any food.
Around noon, sip slowly on 1-2 cups of warm detox carrot soup.
Between 4-6 pm, sip slowly on another 1-2 cups of warm detox soup.
Fast between 6 pm and noon the next day.
Repeat this process anywhere between 1-3 days.
I have used this soup on numerous occasions when I start experiencing any digestive upset. Literally, within 1 day I already feel significantly better.
After only 1 day on this Detox Carrot Soup, my face was beginning to clear and by day #3, all that was left was some dried out little bumps on my cheek!
Easy and delicious, try this Carrot Detox Soup next time you have some digestive issues and see if you are not back to 100% in no time!
How to make Detox Carrot Soup
- Roughly chop 3 lbs of carrots and place them in the bottom of a slow cooker. I usually just divide the length of my carrot by 3-4 sections. Since I buy organic carrots, I do not wash or peel my carrots. I would not suggest using anything but organic carrots since this soup is supposed to help with detoxification so non-organic carrots would not be as beneficial.
- Add 4 cups of water to the carrots, 1 tablespoon each of paprika, chili and curry powder. Add 1 oz fresh chopped ginger and set the slow cooker on high for 4 hours.
- Once carrots have cooked, carefully transfer mixture to a high-speed blender. I have a Vitamix and I have to divide the mixture in half since it is not large enough to do the entire recipe all at once. If mixture seems too thick, simply add additional filtered water until the desired consistency is achieved.
- Once all the carrots have been pureed, add ¾ cup of apple cider vinegar (with the mother), 6 tablespoon of MCT oil (or coconut oil) and 3 scoops of Collagen Peptides. Stir everything together and add any additional salt and pepper to taste.
