This easy and delicious Whole30 Thousand Islands Dressing is absolutely AMAZING. Easy to make and so tasty I guarantee no one will guess that it is Whole30, Paleo and keto approved!
The other day, I was fantasizing about an old-time favourite of mine, the Big Mac. For me, McDonald's brings back happy childhood memories. As a family, we barely ate out when I was growing up. My parents were always saving and going out to eat for a family of 5 was definitely not cheap.
When we did go out, fancy dinners were not in the budget so places like McDonald's were typically our "go-to" for a family outing.
Since adopting my new healthy lifestyle, I have NOT stepped foot into a McDonald's. However, the childhood happiness of our family outings for Big Macs are still memories I have and long for since becoming an adult. I knew that there had to be a way to recreate the flavour of a Big Mac in a healthy way.
The first challenge was developing the "special" sauce. I am pretty sure that McDonald's "special" sauce is simply Thousand Islands dressing.
After several attempts of adding "a little of this and a little of that", I finally nailed it!
Creamy, tasty, simple, Whole30 approved Thousand Islands dressing. Use it as a dip or as a salad dressing and feel free to kick it up a notch with a couple of shakes of hot sauce.
