Easy Pork Tenderloin Recipe
Recently, there was a pretty big sale on seasoned pork tenderloin at my local grocery store. Since I love to save money, I ended up buying 6 pork tenderloins (in my defense, they were BOGO with a $10 coupon!).
After trying the first one in the oven and not loving the fact that it was on the slightly dryer side, I decided to try cooking the pork tenderloin in an air fryer.
What a difference! Perfectly cooked, nice and juicy on the inside, and with very little mess to clean up, making air fryer pork tenderloin is now my "go-to" recipe when I want a quick and easy healthy and low carb dinner.

This recipe only requires a marinated pork tenderloin. I use either Smithfield or Hormel. When buying seasoned and marinated pork, make sure that you check the ingredients as well as nutritional information. Many packaged pork products contain added sugar.
Instructions for making Air Fryer Pork
Grab your air fryer and your marinated pork and let's make dinner!
Coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the pork directly in the basket (no need to preheat the air fryer!)
Air fry the pork at 400 degrees F. for 15 minutes, flipping the pork tenderloin at the halfway point.
Turn the air fryer on "Broil - Hi" and set the timer for 3 minutes. Remove the pork from the air Fryer and allow the meat to rest of 5 minutes before slicing.
Hint - The pork tenderloin will continue to cook while it is resting so do not overcook the pork. The pork will increase by approximately 5 degrees after being removed from the air fryer.
The air fryer I use in an older Ninja All-in-One. All air fryers cook differently so make sure that you check your pork at the 15-minute mark and then every other minute until it reaches 140 degrees F. While the pork rests before you slice it, the temperature will rise to 145 degrees F.
What seasoning can I use on pork tenderloin?
If you want to season your own plain pork tenderloin, you can do so by combining ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon pepper, 2 tablespoons olive oil,1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon sugar-free sweetener (either liquid or solid), 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
and add ½ teaspoon chili (if you want) for some extra kick!
What is the internal temperature of cooked pork?
The center of the cooked tenderloin should be 145 degrees F. At this temperature, the pork tenderloin is fully cooked.
How long does air fryer pork tenderloin last?
You can keep the cooked pork for up to 5 days in the fridge and 1 month in the freezer. Freezing and thawing the meat will make the meet harder to spread.
Why do I need to bring the pork tenderloin to room temperature before air frying?
If your pork is not at room temperature, it will need to be air fried longer which could lead to the pork drying out. To allow the pork to come to room temperature, simply leave it out of the fridge for anywhere between 30-60 minutes.

These are my air fryer recipes
- 2 - 2.25 lbs. Smithfield Pork Tenderloin, room temperature
- Spray your air fryer basking with non-stick cooking spray.
- Place the tenderloin in the basket (you may need to squish it a little to make it fit!)
- Set the air fryer to 400 degrees and the timer for 15 minutes.
- Half way through, flip the pork over and continue to air fry for the remaining 7.5 minutes.
- Once pork has air fried for 15 minutes, turn the air fryer on "BROIL - HI". Set the timer for 3 minutes.
- Once pork is done, lift the lid and allow the pork to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
- Check your pork and make sure that the internal temperature is at least 140 degrees. The pork will continue to cook an additional 5 degrees to the required 145 degrees F. as it rests before slicing.
