Ready in a couple of minutes, this keto dip is an easy keto appetizer that is perfect for your next summer BBQ or the next big game!
Keto Dip
Chips and dip have always been one of my favourite party foods. It’s so basic, but it’s always the first thing I gravitate towards at parties. There is something so good about the crunchiness of a chip combined with the creaminess of a dip.
But since leaving my carb-laden lifestyle behind, I haven't really had "chip dip" in quite some time. Since making my Hint of Lime Tortilla Chips , my The BEST 3-Ingredient Keto Crackers as well as my all-time favourite, these Copycat Innofoods Keto Crackers, I now have PLENTY of delicious keto chip alternatives so all I need to do is create the "dip" for my keto chips and dip!
Hence my attempt (and hugely successful if you ask Mr. Grumbles!) at a Keto Dill Pickle Dip.
Made by the Kraft Philadelphia company, I am not sure why I can not seem to find this dip variety anywhere on this side of the border.
But, this has happened more often than not that although these countries are side by side and share the same language, things like Kraft Peanut Butter and All-Dressed Chips are somehow not available in the US.
So, if you have never had or heard of this dip, I urge you to try this easy keto dip recipe as it will quickly become your new favourite easy keto appetizer!
Why do I love this Easy Keto Appetizer?
- only requires 5 ingredients that you probably already have on hand
- can be made ahead of time
- it tastes just like my Canadian version
- it is low in carbs, gluten-free and oh-so-good
- it can be served with Pork Rinds, veggies or used as a dip for Air Fried Chicken
Ingredients for this easy keto recipe
Sour cream - I used Dairy Sour Cream but you can use whichever brand is your favourite. I would not suggest "light" sour cream as the dip will end up being a little to runny. If you want to keep this recipe keto but dairy-free and vegan, you could always try Forager Sour Cream instead.
Mayo - The first time I created this recipe, I did not add any homemade mayo and I felt like the recipe was missing a little "tang". After adding the mayo, this recipe went from "really good" to "AMAZING". I like to make my own Homemade mayo, but you use any type of mayo that you like.
Dill pickles - I don't think you can make a dill pickle dip without using dill pickles. Make sure that you do not buy "sweet" pickles. You can also use relish instead if you do not want to take the time to chop the pickles. Also, you are going to add a little of the dill pickle juice into the keto dip to help to add some extra flavour (just like my Moist Dill Pickle-Brined Chicken recipe)
Dill - To keep this recipe simple, I used dried dill but you can use fresh chopped dill or a combination of the two. Feel free to add additional dill to suit your tastes.
Sweetener - Although you do not need to add any sweetener, I found that adding just one to two pinches of sweetener made this recipe taste just like the store-bought brand. I used allulose but you could use any type of sweetener that you have on hand. Just start with a single pinch and then add additional sweetener to suit your taste.
Optional Spices - I like to add some additional salt and pepper to the dip as well as some dried garlic powder. These ingredients are optional so don't worry if you don't have them (although I am unsure as to who would not have these spices!;-)
Making this Easy Keto Appetizer
- Softened the cream cheese by placing it in the microwave for about 1 minute or leaving it on the countertop for about 30 minutes
- Combine all the ingredients except for the chopped pickles and stir to combine
- Fold in the chopped dill pickles
- Place the dip in the fridge to chill for about 30 minutes to 1 hour before serving

How long will this Keto Dill Pickle Dip last in the fridge?
This dip should be stored in the fridge in an airtight container. It will last between 3-and 5 days.
Can you make this Keto Dill Pickle Dip ahead of time?
Absolutely!
I actually think this dip tastes the best after about 1 day. The flavours really blend together to get the most intense dill pickle flavour.
Easy Keto Appetizer Tips:
- make sure to warm your cream cheese or allow it to soften at room temperature before trying to blend it with the sour cream and mayo
- make sure that you use good quality dill pickles as they are the main flavour
- you can use dill relish if you don't want to chop up pickles
- you can use more mayonnaise instead of sour cream or vice versa
