The BEST Keto Chocolate Fudge Cake
The best chocolate cake recipe?
I don't know if I can claim it as the "best" since I have so many chocolate cakes I love but it is definitely one of my top choices when a chocolate cake craving hits. Like my Super Easy Keto Molten Chocolate Cake, this keto chocolate cake comes together quickly with only a few simple ingredients.
There are plenty of claims for the best chocolate cake recipe. I get that. But with one bite of this decadent, moist keto chocolate cake with an easy rich keto chocolate frosting, every single person around the table commented that this was the best chocolate cake they’d ever tasted.
Why you will love this keto cold chocolate cake
Here are a list of reasons why you will love this keto chocolate fudge cake:
- Easy - You only need 1 bowl and a couple of minutes to whip up this cake
- Rich and Decadent - This cake is so dense and rich that you will only need a little piece to satisfy your chocolate craving
- Best Served Cold - Since this cake has a great fudge texture, it is best served cold which means that this cake can sit in the fridge for over a week or in the freezer for up to 3 months
- Great Keto Macros - If you divide this cake into 32 pieces (which is the size of a piece of fudge), you are looking at 89 calories with 72 of those coming from fat! That means that one piece of this keto chocolate fudge refrigerator cake is 80% fat - A perfect Fat Fast recipe!

Keto Cold Chocolate Cake Ingredients
- Butter - make sure that you set your butter out about 30 minutes so that is softens before using
- Sweetener - any sweetener will work but my favourite baking keto sweetener is WholeEarth Baking Blend which contains Allulose, Erythritol, Xanthan Gum, Stevia Leaf Extract and Monk Fruit Extract
- Eggs - you will need 3 large eggs that are also at room temperature
- Sour Cream - I used full-fat but I think light sour cream would also work.
- Cocoa Powder - For the best chocolate flavour, use a high quality unsweetened cocoa powder. I used Droste which is considered top quality by many bakers.
- Almond Flour - use superfine almond flour
- Baking Powder, Salt and Vanilla
Keto Chocolate Frosting Ingredients
- Heavy cream - This will make your frosting silky smooth!
- Sugar-free chocolate chips - I like to use bittersweet sugar-free chocolate but feel free to use a sugar-free chocolate bar instead.
- Powdered sweetener - Using powdered sweetener ensures that the sweetener dissolves easily and does not produce a grainy texture.
- Unsweetened Cocoa powder
