No-Bean Chili Recipe
One of the things I love most about chili is just how versatile chili can be. Add in different spices, think curry, Italian or barbecue, or add-ins, like rice cauliflower, onions, celery, and you can pretty much make any flavour you want!
That's how I came up with the idea for this pepperoni chili. It has unseasonably cold here in Florida and so as most do, I was craving chili. However, after perusing my Keto 30-Minute Chili with Olives as well as this Whole30 Vegan Chili Verde, Mr. Grumbles said that he was craving pizza - et voila, pizza chili was created!
Keto Pizza Chili
Thinking I was some "girl genius" to come up with such a fascinating concept, I did a quick google search and came to realize that I was NOT the first to come up with this concept.
As it turns out, Taste of Home posted a Contest-Winning Pepperoni Pizza chili recipe which received 4.8 out of 5 stars from over 46 people.
Not wanting to mess with success, I decided to adapt the recipe to come up with a keto version that would taste just as great.

Easy Keto Chili Ingredient Swap
One of my favourite things to do is to take a high carb recipe and turn it into a low carb delight. With only a couple of changes, the original recipe was easily converted into a delicious keto pizza chili. Here are the swaps I made:
- only used 1 lb of ground beef and switched out the hot itialan sausage for mild sausage
- removed all the beans to create a "no-bean" chili recipe
- add some of our favourite pizza toppings such as green and black olives, banana peppers and some pizza seasoning
- switched out the pizza sauce with Rao's pasta sauce to help cut back on the carbs

PSMF Low Carb Chili without Beans
If you want to convert this recipe from a keto chili to a high protein, low fat chili, there are a few changes you can make to get the right macros.
First, use 99% fat free ground chicken or turkey instead of the beef and Italian sausage. You will lose a little flavour from this substitution so you may want to add some additional salt, pepper or Italian seasoning.
Second, omit the olives. Olives are higher in fat so swap them out for more banana peppers or roasted red peppers.
To add additional "bulk" to the chili, you can also add in some riced cauliflower. This will add some additional carbs but not any fat.
Lastly, use low fat or fat-free cheese instead of regular mozzarella.

Asking for your help!
As I have already stated in some of my other blog posts, for whatever reason, the new Google algorithm has decided to "dislike" me and therefore is choosing to punish me by placing me at the bottom of the searches. The only way I know how to work my way out of this dungeon, is to get more recipe reviews - so if you have 2 seconds, would you mind adding a comment regarding this post?
It could be anything regarding pictures, questions about the recipe or if you have any recipes you want me to swap out to lower carb version, let me know!
