- 8 oz ground sausage (I like to use Turkey Sausage which comes seasoned)
- 24 oz mushrooms (I used white button mushrooms) quartered
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1 cup Parmesan Crumbs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. and grease an 8 x 8-inch square pan with cooking spray.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sausage and cook until no longer pink. Remove the sausage from the pan, leaving the sausage drippings in the pan. Add the musrhooms and 1/2 tsp of salt along with a few grinds of black pepper. Cook until the mushrooms have softened and most of their liquid has evaporated. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in the cream cheese and heavy cream and cook until the cream cheese has fully melted. Stir in the mozzarella and 1/2 cup of Parmesan Crumbs until combined.
- Transfer the mixture to the baking dish and sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup Parmesan crumbs and additional cheese, if desired.
- Bake until the top begins to turn a light golden brown, about 20-25 minutes.

- feel free to use any type of cheese you wish
- feel free to eliminate the sausage but make sure you add additional seasoning
