Keto Chocolate Silk Pie
I am not ashamed to admit that I am an absolute chocoholic!
So, when I stumbled across a recipe in my All Recipes magazine that involved a chocolate pie sitting in a chocolate pie crust, I actually started to salivate!
This easy keto pie recipe is the ultimate chocolate pie for all the chocolate lovers in your life. The filling is rich, creamy, and luxurious, making for a delightful addition to any occasion. With only 4 ingredients and about 5 minutes of time, this sugar-free chocolate pie is so easy to make!
This entire pie is also made from scratch, from the pie crust to the filling, using only sugar-free chocolate chips, heavy cream, vanilla, and sweetener.
Plus, this dreamy dessert will not only satisfy your craving for chocolate, but it is also a perfect make-ahead dessert as the filling needs at least eight hours to set but you can easily make it up to 2 days in advance. As for the crust, you can choose any of your favourite keto pie crusts or pick from my No-Bake Keto Pie Crust Dairy, Easy Keto Chocolate Almond Flour Pie Crust , The BEST Keto Flaky Pie Crust, Delicious Almond Flour Pie and Tart Crust or this Easy Graham Cracker Crust (Gluten-Free, Keto)

Ingredients
4 ingredients are all it takes to make this no-bake keto chocolate truffle pie! The espresso powder is purely optional but if you have some lying around, I highly suggest adding it!

- Chocolate - I used Lily's Semisweet baking chips for this recipe but you can use milk, dark, or any other type of sugar-free baking. You can also use a sugar-free chocolate bar chopped into small pieces or Bake Believe Melting wafers instead.
- Heavy Cream - Heavy cream is used in two different ways. Some of the heavy cream is used to help melt the sugar-free chocolate and the other is whipped to create the nice and light chocolate pie filling
- Sweetener - You will want to use a powdered sweetener that does not crystallize in the fridge. Almost all erythritol-based sweeteners will crystalize so I used powdered allulose.
- Vanilla - Vanilla helps to round out the flavours of this no-bake keto pie
Optional Additional Ingredients:
- Espresso Powder - This ingredient is purely optional but it adds a slight "sophisticated" taste to the keto chocolate silk pie.
- Chocolate Keto Pie Crust - This is one of my favourite keto pie crust recipes. It only requires a couple of ingredients that are pressed into a pie pan and baked for about 8 minutes.
See the recipe card for quantities.

Instructions
This easy keto pie recipe comes together in under 5 minutes. Then all you have to do is be patient enough for the sugar-free chocolate pie to set before diving in!

In a large glass measuring cup, combine ¾ cup heavy cream, sugar-free chocolate chips and espresso powder if using.

Place the mixture in the microwave for 1 minute. Then, stir until all the chocolate has melted (if it will not melt, return it to the microwave for 15-second intervals until it completely melts).

Stir in the vanilla and sweetener and set the mixture to the side to cool, stirring every so often about 5 minutes.

While the mixture is cooling, whip together the remaining ¾ cup heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

Once the chocolate mixture has cooled, beat in ⅓ of the chocolate at a time into the whipped heavy cream. Stir until no white streaks remain.

Spread the mixture into your prepared pie crust (make sure that your crust is fully cooled and not warm!) and place the pie in the fridge to firm.

Optional - When ready to serve, whip 1 cup of additional heavy cream with ¼ cup of powdered sweetener and spread it over the pie. Add chocolate shavings for decorations.
Hint: To make slicing the chocolate pie easier, warm the knife under hot water. Wipe the knife clean between each slice with a warm, wet paper towel.
Substitutions
Since this no-bake keto pie recipe only contains a few ingredients, there are a limited amount of substitutions. However, feel free to try the following!
- Dairy-Free - instead heavy cream, use full-fat canned coconut milk - you can follow this recipe by Minimalist Baker.
- Chocolate - use sugar-free white chocolate (my favourite is the white melting wafers by Bake Believe) or sugar-free mint chocolate chips (my favourite brand is by ChocZero)
- Espresso Powder - try using instant coffee granules - just make sure that they dissolve fully

Variations
Although I like serving this keto chocolate truffle pie in a pie crust, you can easily make this filling and serve it in a variety of different ways!
- Crustless - spread the mixture into a lined springform pan for a crustless sugar-free chocolate pie
- Layered- dollop heaping tablespoons of the mixture and layer it with crushed cookies or granola in fancy wine glasses or martini glasses.
- Kid-friendly vs. Adult-friendly- do not add the espresso for a more kid-friendly take and add some cognac or Bailey's for a boozy approach!

Equipment
This easy keto pie recipe does not require any fancy equipment. All you need is a microwaveable bowl, electric beaters and a pie plate!
Top tip
Make sure that you stir your chocolate and cream together to ensure that the chocolate does not scorch when microwaved.

Why is my pie filling runny?
If you pie is runny, then you most likely added the chocolate when it was still too warm and it melted the whipped cream.
How do I store the pie?
This keto chocolate truffle pie needs to be stored in the fridge. However, you can remove it from the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Can I freeze this?
Yes! This pie freezes well. Simply wrap the top tightly with aluminium foil and store it in the freezer for up to 3 months. To thaw the pie, leave it in the fridge for 24 hours before serving.
Can I make this keto pie ahead of time?
Yes! You can easily make this pie 2 days ahead of time. However, if you plan on adding the whipped topping, do NOT make the whipped topping until the day you are going to serve the pie.
Can I make this keto pie without a pie crust?
I believe you should be able to make this pie in a pie pan and eliminate the crust. Just line the bottom of the pie pan with a round piece of parchment paper and make sure you grease the pie plate well to avoid the pie from sticking.
