Ingredients
For the protein nougat layer:
- 90 g vanilla protein powder (*see note below)
- 90 g egg white powder
- 1/2 cup sugar-free syrup
- 1/4 cup butter or peanut butter
For the caramel nut layer:
- 1/2 cup spanish peanuts
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup sugar-free syrup
Chocolate Layer:
- 1/2 cup sugar-free chocolate
Instructions
- Whisk together the protein powders. Melt the butter and liquid sweetener and stir it into the protein powders. You are looking for the texture of cookie dough. If the mixture is too sticky, place it in the fridge to firm for about 15-30 minutes. Evenly divide the protein nougat between the 12 candy moulds and press the protein nougat down firmly.
- Melt the peanut butter and sugar-free syrup in the microwave. Once melted, stir in the nuts. Evenly divide the caramel nut mixture over the protein nougat. Place the candy mould in the fridge.
- Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir until all the chocolate has melted. If the chocolate has not fully melted, return it to the microwave for an additional 15 seconds. Evenly pour the chocolate over the caramel nut layer and return the bars to the fridge to firm.
- Once firm, remove the copycat sugar-free Snickers bars from the mould and enjoy!
Notes
* Different protein powders require more or less liquid in order to stick together. If your mixture ends up being too dry, simply add 1 tablespoon of liquid of choice, until the protein nougat is like cookie dough. If your protein nougat is too wet, simply add a little more protein powder or coconut flour.
