This Beet Pizza Crust is so tasty and easy to make!  By simply combining beets, almond flour, flax and some Italian seasoning, you can have a healthy, gluten-free, vegan, Paleo, Whole30 pizza crust that is ready for your favourite pizza toppings in minutes.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 8 slices 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 8.8 oz (250 g) cooked beets
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour
  • 1 tbsp flaxmeal
  • 2 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.  Cover a pizza pan with parchement paper.  If you don't have a pizza pan, place the parchment paper on a cookie sheet and set aside.
  2. In a food processor, add cooked beets and eggs.  Turn processor on for 1-2 minutes.  Add in remaining ingredients and process until all ingredients are combined.
  3. Pour beet mixture onto parchment paper and carefully (I used my fingers) spread mixture to form a circle.
  4. Place beet crust in the oven for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove the pizza or cookie sheet and place parchment paper directly on oven racks.  Bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  6. Remove crust from oven and let cool for 5 minutes.  Using a cooling rack, flip pizza over and remove parchment paper.
  7. Let cool completely and either add topings to the crust or place in the freezer for a later date.
