This Sugar-Free Hot "Honey" Recipe only requires 5 simple ingredients and doesn't require any bee pollen!  A drizzle of Hot Honey is one of my favorite condiments to make because of how simple and delicious it is. And since I love it so much, I decided to create a "quick" version of my original Hot Honey Recipe that could come together in a fraction of the time!

  • Total Time: 6 minutes
  • Yield: 1.5 cups 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup allulose
  • 2 tablespoon hot sauce, such as Louisiana
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp honey extract (or more to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp xantham gum (or more for a thicker sauce)
  • splash of vanilla and pinch of Maldon Salt

OPTIONAL - hot pepper flakes or additional hot sauce to taste.

Instructions

  1. Place  all ingredients except for the honey extract, salt and vanilla, in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir to combine and heat until the mixture comes to a boil. Boil for 4 minutes, swirling the pan occasionally.
  2. Remove from heat and whisk in the honey extract and vanilla and let cool completely. Taste the mixture and add additional hot sauce, red pepper flakes, or salt if desired.
