- 2 cups water
- 12 oz cranberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1/2-1 cup sweetener (depending on how sweet your like your cranberry sauce)
- 1 package (0.7 oz) Simply Delish Sugar-free Orange jel
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the water, cranberries and 1/2 cup sweetener. Heat on medium-high heat until the cranberries begin to burst (you will actually hear them pop!) and soften.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and mash the cranberries with a potato masher (or use an immersion blender for a smoother cranberry sauce).
- Sprinkle the sugar-free orange jello package over the cranberry sauce and whisk to incorporate. Taste the sauce and add additional sweetener to suit your taste.
- Pour the cranberry orange sauce into a serving dish and allow it to cool to room temperature before covering it and placing it in the fridge.
Notes
- feel free to add 1-2 tbsp of orange juice or pieces of orange - there are only 7 calories and 1.3 grams of sugar per tablespoon of orange juice.
