- 1 lb 85% lean ground beef
- 1 tbsp minced garlic (about 3 cloves)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 2 green onions chopped
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
For the Korean Sauce:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
- 2 tbsp -1/4 cup brown sugar substitute (start with 2 tbsp and add additional sweetner after tasting)
- 1 tbsp minced ginger, fresh
- 1 tsp hot sauce
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, 2 tbsp brown sugar substitute, ginger, and hot sauce. Taste the sauce and add additional sweetener to suit your taste. Set aside.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high. Add beef. Let cook undisturbed for 2-3 minutes to brown. Flip and cook another 2 minutes. Crumble the meat as it finishes browning. Add the garlic and cook another 30 seconds.
- Add the sauce and simmer for 2 minutes stir constantly. Remove from heat and sitr in sesame oil and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve over riced cauliflower or in lettuce wraps.
