This is a quick and easy Keto Korean Ground Beef recipe that can be on the table in about 15 minutes! Perfect for a weeknight dinner and great as leftovers the next day, this savoury sweet ground beef is sure to become a family favourite!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb 85% lean ground beef
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic (about 3 cloves)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

For the Korean Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
  • 2 tbsp -1/4 cup brown sugar substitute (start with 2 tbsp and add additional sweetner after tasting)
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger, fresh
  • 1 tsp hot sauce

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, 2 tbsp brown sugar substitute, ginger, and hot sauce. Taste the sauce and add additional sweetener to suit your taste.  Set aside. 
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high. Add beef. Let cook undisturbed for 2-3 minutes to brown. Flip and cook another 2 minutes. Crumble the meat as it finishes browning. Add the garlic and cook another 30 seconds.
  3. Add the sauce and simmer for 2 minutes stir constantly.  Remove from heat and sitr in sesame oil and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve over riced cauliflower or in lettuce wraps.
