Marine Collagen Baked Brownie Protein Bars - Keto, Low Carb and Sugar-free

These keto and sugar-free collagen baked brownie protein bars are so much tastier than anything you will find at a health food store! Filled with 8 grams of protein and only under 1 gram of sugar, these low carb brownie bars are not only delicious but healthy too!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (60 g) unflavoured marine collagen powder
  • 1/4-1/3 cup granular sugar-free sweetener*
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate casein
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar-free Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup liquid egg whites (approximately 2 large egg whites)
  • 2-4 tbsp unsweetened almond milk**
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 cup sugar-free chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.  Spray the insides of the molds with a little cooking spray and set the pan to the side.
  2. In a medium-size bowl, whisk together the melted coconut oil, liquid egg whites,2 tablespoons of unsweetened almond milk and the vanilla.
  3. Add in the marine collagen powder, sweetener, cocoa powder, chocolate casein, baking soda and salt.  Stir until everything is incorporated.
  4. Divide the mixture evenly between the wells and place 6-8 sugar-free chocolate chips on top of each bar, gently pressing the chocolate chips into the batter.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes.  Remove from the oven and allow the bars to cool completely before removing them from the molds.

Notes

* chocolate casein has various levels of sweetness so you may need to adjust the quantity to suit your taste

**start with 2 tbsp of almond milk and if the mixture is too dry, add additional almond milk.
